Arborg’s newest attraction, the Credit Union Aquatic Centre with its three water slides, spray pad, “lazy river”, zero beach entry and four-lane junior Olympic pool is proving to be a major draw for families throughout the Interlake. The Arborg & District Multicultural Heritage Village continues to grow as do its visitor numbers, including the number of bus tour groups. In July, the Arborg Fair and Rodeo brings thousands of people into Town for the three-day event.
Bifrost's beaches are second to none and offer boating, sailing, swimming, kayaking canoeing and fishing to residents and visitors.
Many beautiful lakeshore and lake view cottage lots and homes/cottages are available for sale in Bifrost's Lakeshore Development which extends from Boundary Road North to Riverton in the Valhalla Beach, Pebble Beach and Hnausa areas. Contact the RM of Bifrost (204.376.2391) or the Arborg-Bifrost Community Development Corporation (204.376-5742) for further information on this idyllic beachfront area.
The cultural and historical features of the area are depicted in the working, living Arborg & District Multicultural Heritage Village which invites visitors to walk in the footsteps of the area's first settlers. The adjacent campground includes 22 serviced and 25 unserviced sites.
These attractions, combined with the many year-round visitors who enjoy ice-fishing, snowmobiling, eco-tourism (exceptional birding and wildlife areas) and business travelers who service the Interlake and the Northern Interlake, place a heavy demand on local visitor accommodations and restaurants year round. This unmet demand provides excellent business opportunities for restaurants, campgrounds, bed & breakfast facilities and other roofed accommodation.
Just as the sport of golf is experiencing widespread growth, demand is also growing in Arborg/Bifrost for a golf course. Local residents, cottagers and visitors are expressing the desire for golfing facilities in this area to eliminate the need to travel long distances to enjoy the sport. Substantial tracts of desirable and inexpensive land are available to potential golf course or driving range developers and investors.
