Arborg is easily accessible to Winnipeg via either Highway 7 or Highway 8 and is located at the junction of Highways 7 and 68, sixteen kilometres west of the east shore of Lake Winnipeg. Its location provides direct highway access to Riverton, the cottage areas of Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park and the First Nation communities of Peguis and Fisher River to the north; the cottage areas on Lake Winnipeg to the east; Eriksdale, Ashern and Lundar to the west; and Gimli, Teulon, Stonewall, Selkirk and Winnipeg to the South.
Arborg is one hour (100 km.) north of Winnipeg and on a direct route (via Hwy. 7) to Winnipeg’s CentrePort Canada. The first foreign-trade zone in Canada, CentrePort is being developed as a major air, sea and road transportation hub to connect with the Mid-Continent Trade Corridor, providing access to a central North American market of 100 million people and to the rest of the world via the Polar Air and Marine Routes initiatives.
Goods produced in Arborg/Bifrost can be shipped quickly and cost-effectively anywhere in the world.
